Taiwan-based network-equipment maker Sercomm expects its revenues to top NT$10 billion (US$3.1 billion) in 2007, and also looks forward to seeing its revenues continue to grow over 30% on-year, to reach US$1 billion by 2012, according to company chairman Paul Wang.
Sercomm, a 15-year veteran of network-equipment products, actually saw its revenues increase 10-fold in five years to NT$10 billion this year from NT$1 billion it recorded in 2002, according to company data.
This year, ADSL gateway products will contribute 70% to the company's total revenues, while IP cameras, printer servers and business routers will make up the remaining 30%, said company president James Wang.
Continuing demand from telecom service providers and cable TV operators will continue to drive growth in the network-equipment market for the next 3-5 years, Wang asserted.
The Wangs made the remarks as Sercomm celebrated the switch from listing its stock on Taiwan's GreTai (OTC) Securities Market to the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE), starting on December 3.
